Medinat al-Zahraa is a great city and is the royal capital as well as the mother capital " Cordoba ", which was built by Nasser Abdel- Rahman Al-Andalusi year 325 All - 936 AD at the foot of the Mountain “Al-Aroos".

The construction took twenty five years to become a center befitting the dignity of Caliphate.
It was surrounded by walls and palaces and beautiful buildings and vast courtyards, orchards.
gardens, statues and many of the manifestations of civilization that was attracting eyes to their exquisitely, greenery and beautiful trees and the beauty and mastery of its several and different buildings.
Many mosques and palaces were built, and the Palace of the Caliph Nasser was the biggest and most luxurious, full of the most magnificent and beautiful art and symmetry, the highest walls and the widest markets.
It is said that this city was so named after one of his wives who was called "Zahra", and this city occupies the first place in the history and development of the Andalusian art and architecture at its most golden ages of the history of Islamic Spain.
