This research is concerned in studying one of the most important religious titles struck on the Ottoman coins, especially on Sultan Suleiman Kanuni coins (926-947 A.
H / 1520-1566 A.
D).
This tile is “Servant of the Noble Sanctuaries”, and despite the fact that many other sultans not only in the Ottoman Era, but also before that had gained this precious title, it didn’t appear on coins before the era of Sultan Suleiman Kanuni, and especially on the types struck in Baghdad, and Al-Hillah.
The importance of this title in particular comes from being the symbol of authority and power of the sultan on all over the Islamic World.
