Abstract EN

The current study identified influencing factors in forming the human behavior in the Islamic education, with special concern being giving to the environmental one articulating the approach adopted by Islam as to nutrition and nutrients.

Islamic educational texts were strongly in support of influence of nutrition and nutrients in human behavior.

In an attempt to set sharia ground of such approach, the researcher surveyed and analytically studied relevant texts from the holy Koran, honorable sunna, sayings by the companions and arguments by Muslim scholar.

The study addressed potential benefits of a good food, its positive effect on human life, and its role in development of good behaviors.

In contrast, the study identified detrimental effects of unfavorable food which were scientifically proven to negatively affect body systems from psychological, health, and behavioral aspects.

The conclusion from the present study emphasized the importance of electivity in deciding what kind of food to take, stressed on behavioral benefits of a balanced food, and the emergent family role in encouraging favorable food attitudes of its members as the positive and negative effects they might experience would not be restricted to their behaviors rather they might also be experienced by generations to come.

To study effects of nutrition in human behavior, the researcher adopted the analytical inductive method for purpose of finding out a divine purport from permitting a good food and prohibiting bad one the fact which was scientifically supported centuries later..
