Since 1990 to nowadays, the examination of the Algerian media landscape suggests that there has been a significant shift in terms of freedom of the press and journalism practices.
Nevertheless, this golden age of the printing press did not last as the country was fallen into cycle of violence.
This article aims to analyse and assess the experience of the private printing press in Algeria.
