Abstract EN

The Syrian issue now burning for more than 4 years is characterized by peculiarities and unique cases.

It is consistently vulnerable to variables that always had distinctive repercussions on the local regional and international interactions.

This will impact the security forms and functions in the Levant and it will impact the order of actors and parties in the Syrian strategic field.

Perhaps one of the most prominent among these variables is the expanding and aggravating of ISIS in the Syrian geography as it attempts to impose political and social criteria that blow up the cultural and civilizational heritage of the Syrian people.

ISIS also threatens the security and power balance in the region which led to an international coalition of more than 60 countries with diverse and varying roles and tasks that aim to weaken the ISIS and scaling down its forces in order to defeat them at the end in addition to all the cross-border Salafist jihadist organizations.

In this context it is worthwhile to emphasize that this alliance does not have any goals concerning the Syrian issue that is entirely absent in the Alliance’s debates mechanisms and goals.

Its goals are confined to the perspective of combating and reducing the ISIS and the like in certain geographic areas in Syria as a part of a strategy claimed by planners to be integrated to fight extremism with all possible legal economic social political and military tools.

Lack of international will and lack of clear objectives supported by effective mechanisms and tools will contribute to the deepening and worsening situation in Syria for decades to come.

Given the context of the emergence of this organization it can be said that policies of cancellation and marginalization followed by the ruling regimes in Iraq and Syria as well as the overwhelming liquidity that is sweeping the region as a result of failures of political tracks is considered a catalyst for fueling extremist discourse that has utilized investing in the local regional and international situation especially regional and international understandings that does not take into account the interests of the parties targeted by the political and religious discourse of the organization such as the growing American and Iranian understanding then.
