Abstract EN

This study aims to trace the path of the Yemeni-Saudi relations from the moment of foundation until currently focusing on the various phases and milestones in this relationship.

By implementing the historical method and analytical approach، the study attempts to identify the factors and influences that contributed in determining the pattern of this relationship from one phase to another.

The study suggests that Yemeni-Saudi relations were not mainly based on the principle of parity، good-neighborliness and common interests; but rather on self-interest which led to the keenness of each party to sabotage the other's stability and this has badly affected the stability in the whole region.

The study، therefore، recommends avoiding such past policies and creating a new type of relations based on mutual respect and common interests.
