Abstract EN

This research includes an introduction and two section.

The First section includes the linguistic definition of land cultivation and its shariah definition.

The linguistic and shariah definitions of the disused land according to sunnah and jurists.

Mentioning evidences and benefits to individuals and groups moreover, explaining the Islamic tools to encourage to cultivate the disused land.

In the second section, the research discusses the ways of cultivating the disused land according to jurists by constructing stones, fences, ploughing, removing water and stones or drawing water, digging wells and building a house regarding to the customs and whether getting the permission of the Imam or not, and if there is a difference between cultivating the nearby disused land and the remote one from urbanism.

Finally, the research investigates the kinds of land that need cultivation and whether Jordan needs to cultivate the disused land or not, and the consequences of the government preventing people from cultivating the disused land on the Jordanian national economy.
