Abstract EN

The study aimed to determine the degree of the Islamic University of Gaza professors' practice in educating their students to control their impulses in the light of the guidance of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah (Prophetic Traditions).

The study also tried to find out whether there were statistically significant differences among the sample's members' estimates of the degree depending on the variables of the study (gender, major, GPA).

The researchers used the descriptive approach and a questionnaire applied to a sample of (204) male and female students from the fourth level.

The study showed Islamic University professors highly practiced educating their students to control their impulses in the light of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

The study findings revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the sample's estimates of the spread of those practices depending on the variable of major in favor of Sharia and law major, as well as the GPA variable in favor of students whose GPA was 80% and higher.

However, the study findings did not reveal any statistically significant differences due to the gender variable.

The study recommended that university professors should develop their role concerning educating their students to control their acquired impulses.
