Abstract EN

This study focuses on the book Kashif Al-Qinaa’ Wa An-Niqab written by Mohammed Bin Abdul Kareem (died 964 AH), which is one of the expositions of Ibn Hisham Al-Ansari’s (died 761 AH) book Qawa’id AlI’raab (The Grammar Rules).

This study examines Abdul Kareem’s methodology, principles, quotations, and grammatical sources.

Then we review his agreements and disagreements with Ibn Hisham’s book as well as his choices and grammatical opinions and finally his grammatical approach.

The study then examines the issue of how well-informed the author is about previous expositions of the Grammar Rules book and the extent to which he was influenced by them, and then we balance his exposition with the other expositions.

This study demonstrates the value of this scholarly book as it includes a good variety of sources and grammatical reasoning, and that the book was not a mere repetition of other expositions, but it actually complemented them, and therefore the book deserves to be one of the most important explanations of the Grammar Rules book.
