Abstract EN
Solid state nuclear track detector has been used to measure the natural alpha particle radioactivity in soil in Hebron district.
Eighty detectors were used to find the alpha particle activities in 28 locations in Hebron city and its country side.
The alpha particle activities in the city vary from 898 BQ / kg in the south to 1843 BQ/ kg in the west with an average activity of about 1242Bq/kg.
however, the alpha particle activities in the country side vary from 487Bq/ kg in Beit kahil to a maximum of 2130 Bq/ kg in Yatta.
This activity Is lower than of the city.
The average alpha particle activity in soil in the district is found to be 1150Bq/kg.
