English Abstract

This survey analytical study aimed to know the different sources of the work stresses on the workers in power Electricity plant operated by diesel fuel.

That have been represented in the followed sources, conflict between the divisions, the competency problem, roles conflict, roles ambiguity, institutional organization, work’s discouragements incentives & occupational stability, and to study the relationship between these sources and the variables: gender, specialty, experience, type of the worker’s nature, and the scientific qualification.

The study included ten null hypotheses, the study has used the questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection, and the questionnaire has included (10) questions related to the work’s stresses in power plant projects.

The study validity in measured through alpha – Cronbach test, and it’s through the face validity, and has been distributed to the study sample population that consisted of all the workers in power plants, their number is (165) employees, (119) questionnaires were returned to the researchers (71.9%) with complete and valid data for the statistical analysis purposes that has been conducted by using the frequencies, the means, the standard deviation and the sample’s uni-variate test, and (Z-Test), this was through (SPSS) software.

The results showed that the workers in power plants are suffering from the work’s stresses as a result of many factors including: Roles ambiguity, organizational factors, in power plants and the work’s discouragements, the absence of incentives & the absence of the occupational stability, also, the results showed that the variables (Gender, Specialty, the nature of the work (General or technical services), scientific achievement, and experience influencing on some of the work’s stresses on the employees in power plants.

The conclusions showed that the body of work regarding plant worker encouragement is fixed and that no catalyst model has been broadly used, in the generation plant.

After reading the literature, this research achieve that the previous work suggests two first procedures for developing the encouragement of power plant workers.

Appropriate worker incentives (Inherent or Acquired), upgraded management training, specifically regarding communication with workers.

The first of these points is forwardly connected to the second.

The bulk of key factors that affected up word encouragement can be directed, controlled, or implemented by management.

The researcher recommended to conduct analytical comparisons study between the stress in governmental and private operated power stations and their effects on rate of productions, also to conduct analytical comparisons study between power plant operated at Jordan And Iraq and how the Jordan government solve this big issues of Iraqi government faces due to huge numbers of unemployment phenomenon of employee gathered after 2003 and how much stress they faces.
