The aim of this article is to approach the maxims and principles of politeness developed by the current theoretical frameworks with the code of seemliness contained in the Qur'an since centuries ago.
From rite of dialogue to the requirements of personal relationships required by the position of the parties to the dialogue, we will show successively how the Quranic text contains a recommendation that conforms to face-work as politeness specialists define it, and which represents a topic of fruitful research in the field of pragmatics and sociolinguistics.

L'objectif de cet article est de rapprocher les maximes et principes de politesse, élaborés par les cadres théoriques actuels, avec le code de bienséance que renferme le Coran depuis des siècles d'antan.
Des rituels d'échanges aux exigences des relations interpersonnelles impliquées par le statut des partenaires de l'échange, nous montrerons tour à tour comment le texte coranique est ponctué de recommandations se conformant au travail de figuration tel qu'il se définit par les politessologues en faisant l'objet de recherches fructueuse en pragmatique et sociolinguistique.
