Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify training process and its impact on the trainee's career path where it tackled the training programs at the banking sector in the Gaza Strip.

The study sample included the workers at the banking sector working in the Gaza Strip (767 workers) where 310 questionnaires were distributed amongst them; 258 filled with a percentage of 83.2%.

The researchers used the descriptive analytical approach and designed a questionnaire to collect data.

Employees of banking sector expressed satisfaction about some aspects of training like the place and content of material, but they expressed satisfaction about other aspects like involving them in training planning and needs assessment procedures.

The study major findings are as follow: There is a strong relationship between training planning including its four dimensions (needs assessment, designing material, implementing and evaluating training programs) and career path within the banking sector in the Gaza Strip, which means that the management of these banks take into account the career path when the training process planning.

Training plays a key role in developing the employees’ skills at the banking sector working in the Gaza Strip.

Many of the banking sector pay attention to the training process and focus on the training outcomes whereas many other banks consider it a routinely activity.

Based on the abovementioned results, the study recommended the following: The banking sector should pay more attention for training and they should design clear strategies to support the training process.
