This research aims to reveal the personal elements of the Islamic Educational Thought of Imam Shafi'i - may God have mercy on him - through the use of content analysis of some educational texts received from Imam, whether poetry or prose.

And will address the researcher these ingredients by talking about the qualifications of renewal at the Imam Shafi'i, and characteristics of breeding Islamic character, then talk about the elements of the Muslim personality to Imam Shafi'i (Streptococcus, and worship, and moral, scientific, social, aesthetic, and creative), and hopes the researcher to reach at the end of his research findings and recommendations to contribute to building an educational vision for the preparation of Islamic personality through the educational thought of Imam Shafi'i - may God have mercy on him.
