Congenital phlebectasia of the internal jugular vein : case report

Congenital phlebectasia of the jugular vein is a rare entity and there are few reports from the world about this subject .Here we present a child with congenital phlebectasia of the right internal jugular vein, which appeared as a compressible mass in the neck during straining and coughing.

It is important to differentiate it from other neck masses .Colored Doppler is a simple non invasive procedure for diagnosis.

The treatment is conservative for asymptomatic patients.
