Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the role of industrial enterprises in supporting the local development, through their focus on raising their competitiveness ability.

Especially, because the industrial sector is considered one of the most important sectors that can be relied on in the local development process, due to the ability it possesses in activating other sectors; especially the transformative industries besides hydrocarbons.

To achieve the goals of the study and test its hypothesis, we tried to project the theoretical study on, one of the most important Algerian enterprises that work in food industry sector, Group “Amor Ben Amor” in the province of Guelma.

This group is considered as an outstanding industrial pole in the province.

The study relied on a questionnaire, which was distributed to the enterprise frames, and its analysis was done using many statistical tools.

The study leads to some results.

The most important ones are: there is an effect that has a statistical significance due to the group’s possession of some factors of enhancing the competitiveness ability to achieve the local development.

The group’s possession, of the factors of competitiveness ability enhancement, may help in entering new markets thus providing hard currency and this helps in the local development process.

The study also provided some recommendations; the most important ones are to choose the projects that are suitable for the nature of the zones so that both the enterprise and the people of the region benefit, the enterprises must follow the international standards of production in order to support their competitiveness.
