Abstract EN

This study explored the female students' adaptation of college life at Physical Education College with the university environment, Yarmouk University, Jordan.

The descriptive approach was utilized through applying a questionnaire ( Al- Janabi, 2001) as a tool for gathering data.

The questionnaire was applied on a sample consisted of (150) female students at the Physical Education College.

It consists of (56) items distributed among three fields (psychological, social and academic).

The results showed the following points: the Physical Education College female students at Yarmouk University have the ability to adapt psychologically, socially and academically with the university environment.

Their adaptation and integration with the university environment are not affected in regard with the place of residence, where the study showed lack of statistically significant differences.

The results also showed that the female students of the Physical Education College usually show less adaptation level as they get closer to graduation.

Therefore, the study recommended to diversify the student activities within the college and university to fulfill and satisfy the students different needs.
