Abstract EN
The study aimed at investigating the relationship between shyness and emotional intelligence of Jadara university students in Jordan.
The sample consisted of (291) male and female students who were chosen randomly.
Two scales were used including emotional intelligence and a scale of shyness.
The results showed that: There are negative relationship between shyness and emotional intelligence, the males and females have medium level of shyness and high level of emotional intelligence, the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in students' score for the level of shyness and the level of emotional intelligence due to gender, and there were statistically significant differences in students' score for shyness due to emotional intelligence.
