What to do with earned interest ? : using interest money to pay taxes

I have a bank account in a secular bank in Kerala and there is RS 5000 as interest, at the same time I have to pay RS 5000 as income tax for my income for one year. If I can receive interest from the bank and pay the sum as Income tax ?
