Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the effect of guided discovery technique, which is based on Knowledge economy, on developing defense skills in volleyball, and identifying the best technique between guided discovery and ordered technique.

The researcher used the experimental method.

The study sample was divided into two groups; experimental (18) students and control (18) students, who were registered at "Learning Volleyball" course for the second semester of the year 2010.

The study results showed that guided discovery technique has a positive effect in developing defents skills in Volleyball.

Also, it has priority over the ordered technique.
