Abstract EN

The main objective of this study is to examine the role of the rating agencies to avoid the buildup risk of potential crisis.

For their part the cascading crises that characterized the global economy during these recent years, have also largely contributed to maintaining the concomitant financial sector instability.

In the eyes of investors and many economists such a situation has also largely contributed to hold in high suspicion such very rating agencies.

Among the many causes of grievances, one finds the very classifications of such agencies which do not always reflect the reality of the financial situation characterizing countries, institutions or the financial transactions proper; the non-credibility and non-transparency of such rating methods particularly after the episode of the 2008 sub-prime financial crisis and the 2010 European sovereign debt crisis, etc.
