Quality education is considered the backbone of economic growth and prosperity of nations.

The United Arab Emirates government and decision makers give great importance to quality education and impose high standards requirements on educational institutions both at school and higher education levels.

In order for private higher education institutions in UAE to comply with the requirements and sustain academically and financially, strategic planning, leadership management, and lessons learned become indispensable components of the institution’s operation.

This article presents a success story of Al Dar University College (ADUC) that, the authors believe, can serve as a pattern for other institutions struggling with academic sustainability to benchmark with.-\
