This study aimed to identify the level of information technology usage, and the level of employees performance at Jordanian governmental departments in Irbid Governorate from employees perspective, and determine whether there are statistically significant differences in the respondents’ perception of Level of Information Technology usage and the level of employees performance attributed to the personal and functional factors (Gender, Age, Educational qualification, Job Title, years of service).

The study also sought to identify the level of information technology usage and its impact on the employees performnce.

The study sample consisted of (412) employees have been selected randomly from the population study.

From which (357) Questionnaires were returned.

The results of the study showed that the mean score of The general level of information technology usage was • (3.72), this score represents a high degree of usage.

The mean score of general level of employees’performance was (3.82), this • score represents a high degree of usage.

There were statistically significant differences (0.05 • ≥ α) to the level of information technology usage among employees in the surveyed districts due to demographic variables of each of (age, years of service), and differences were in favor of youth.

There is a statistically significant impact at the significance level (0.05 • ≥ α) to the level of information technology usage on the employees’ performance as a whole and on the level of its dimensions in the surveyed districts, where interpreter contrast was (0.710).

The study introduced a set of recommendations including: Continue to improve the software and databases used and provide the means • and advanced technological equipments which support the employees’ performance and enable them to raise the level of services provided.

Continue to raise the efficiency of the employees’ performance and their • technological, technical, and administrative abilities, and especially youth, because they are more able to accomplish a greater range of businesses because of their vigor and ability.

Increase interest from government departments to create a favorable and encouraging climate for innovation and creativity by stimulating the outstanding employees by all available means.
