English Abstract
This research aims at analyzing riddles in the Jordanian Bedouin Poems in Ras Al Naqab Area from discourse analysis perspectives.
It includes a corpus of 10 Nabati Jordanian poems written by 10 poets.
The researcher used existing sampling process to select the sample of the study.
This study involves one research instrument that is a textual analysis based Fairclough (2001, 2003) method of critical discourse analysis .
This qualitative study includes four chapters.
The first chapter discusses the theoretical background of the research.
The second chapter reviews the literature of the study.
Chapter three includes the design and methodology of the study.
Whilst, chapter four illustrates the findings, discussion and recommendations of the study.
This research highlights the implicit function of figurative language in the function in the Bedouin poetry .
It explores how figurative language is used in communicating ideas to facilitate the readers and to uncover the manipulation through its usage .
