English Abstract
Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) communication systems have attracted interest over the last years, mostly this attracted for point to point, single-user.
Investigations of multi-user MIMO systems have arisen recently as an important research topic for next-generation wireless communication systems due to enhanced transmission reliability and higher transmission rates.
The thesis consider multiuser MIMO (downlink) broadcast channels, since most of researchers on uplink (multiple accesses) communications.MUMIMO systems use various precoding techniques to eliminate inter-user interference.
Precoding techniques includes linear channel inversion (zeroforcing precoding), nonlinear dirty paper coding and Tomlinson-Harashima precoding.
This thesis investigates performance of precoding techniques that used to cancele inter-user interference (IUI) over AWGN broadcast MIMO channels.
Also the thesis compares and shows the effect of user's number and modulation schemes on precoding performance.
Mathematical models are presented and simulated using MATLAB.
The results show that nonlinear precoding is not affected by the number of users since performance has constant relation with user's number.
Also, we conclude that dirty paper code has better efficiency than channel inversion and Tomlinson-Harashima precoding.
