English Abstract
This study aimed to identify the code switching between Arabic and English language in the speech of workers in tourism private sector in the Petra region.
The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach.
questionnaire of (25) items was distributed on two fields (social, labor).The sample of the study consisted of (135) workers in the tourism in the Petra region.
The results of the study showed that : 1.
The social motivation is the most important motives that influence in the process of switching between Arabic and English language among workers in the private tourism sector in the Petra region.
2.
The experience in work is one of the most important personal variables that increase the use of code switching between Arabic and English languages among workers in the tourism private sector in the Petra region.
The study also recommended some recommendations; embark on a broad base of information to follow the development of the local market needs to connect the outputs of education and training needs of tourism in this situation.
