[Zakah]
Fatawa Question
AsSalamAlikum, I had a question regarding the payment of Zakah. My wife has money but I am in debt with student loans. We just got married. We have checked online but have found differing opinions on whether or not Zakah can be paid from a wife towards the husband’s debt. Is this permissible ? As her money is her money and if she wants to help her husband pay off her debt, can she or not ? Please let me know. Thanks kindly.
