Abstract EN

This study aims at investigating the degree of school supervisors' application of Reddin's Three Dimensions Leadership Theory from the perspectives of school head teachers and teachers at UNRWA schools in Jordan.

The study instrument was a survey questionnaire consisting of (53) items covering three domains : the task domain, interpersonal relations domain, and the effectiveness domain.

The study sample, which was selected randomly, consisted of (80) School Head teachers and (200) male and female teachers from (40) girls' school and (40) boys' school.

The study was conducted during the academic year 2009 / 2010.

Results showed that the degree of UNRWA educational supervisors' implementation of Reddins Three Dimensions Leadership Theory in performing their supervisory tasks was moderate in the specified domains of the leadership.

The study also revealed statistically significant differences between the teachers' and school Head teachers' responses attributable to the job post in favor of the School Head teachers on all the study domains.

The study showed no statistically significant differences between the teachers and school Head teachers' estimates on the three domains attributable to gender.

However, there were statistically significant differences between the teachers and School Head teachers' estimates on the effectiveness domain attributable to the participants' gender in favor of the female participants.
