Abstract EN

Translated into several languages and used in more than 8000 books/articles, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) is deemed to be one of the most important and widely used objective personality tests.

Until the publication of the second version of MMPI-2 in 1989, MMPI had not been revised since its original publication in 1943.

Given the necessity to employ such reliable and valid tests, this study was conducted to standardize the usage of MMPI-2 and generate standards that are compatible with a local setting with specific and multiple needs.

To that end, the test was administered to a population sample of 1646.

T-test was employed for data analysis.

Findings confirmed MMPI-2 reliability and validity when used in multi-settings.

Results have also shown that the two cut-off scores were 50 and 64 T degrees.

Two factors were also identified: psychoticism and neurotics.

The paper recommends benefitting from MMPI-2 in research and diagnosis of psychological disorders
