In this study we used a reliable, rapid and sensitive method for the identification of the B.
cereus group spp.
A method is required to detect a small amount of bacterial DNA in a sample is desirable and necessary.
In this study we collect 300 sample from different source(stool ,rice,potato ,clinical material) in Thi- Qar province and used BC1 gene as specific gene to detect Bacillus cereus from other species .
The gene was investigated in highest rate of isolates(95%), PCR was the first nucleic acid-based assay for detecting pathogens.
The method is sensitive, specific and allows small amount of bacterial DNA in a sample to be detected .The present PCR assay is the first molecular tool for rapid detection of Bacillus cereus.
