Abstract EN

Aim of study: The aim of the study is to evaluate the craniofacial changes in the lower lip after Genioplasty by Using Solid Silicone radiographic by lateral cephalometric.

Material and methods: 14 patients (5 male and 9 female), age between 19 - 34 years (mean 25,1 years) were subjected to Genioplasty by Using Solid Silicone in the oral and maxillofacial department (Damascus university).Lateral cephalometric were obtained preoperative and post-advancement.

Results:The statistical analysis by using T-test revels significant increase p=0.027 in the lower lip at 95% level of confidant after Genioplasty by Using Solid Silicone .

Conclusion: From the previous study we Shaw that Genioplasty by Using Solid Silicone led to immediate increase inpost-operative distance of lower lip to Y axis
