Abstract EN

Learning process is considered as one of the most important issues which should be addressed by researchers, especially with the rapid and successive world's changes that create a new system based on sciences and technological development.

And with the higher education importance in : realizing societal needs, realizing sustainable development, influencing people’s life, contributing to form competent researchers and acceding to consent to the labor market, it becomes necessary to work hard for maintaining the capacity to pass the problems and threatens which may face the higher education institutions especially with the strong competition, and the entering of the private sector in universities, through adopting the total quality programs and the application of the new management methods like the total quality management.

This paper aims at highlighting the importance of total quality in higher education institutions for improving the outputs which are considered as the most important element in labor market inputs, and addressing the perspectives of applying the principles of total quality management in Algerian universities.
