Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the competitive orientation among the research sample, as well as to identify the skill flow.

The third objective was to identify the relationship between competitive orientation and skillflow among the research sample.

The researcher assumed that there was a significant difference between the competitive orientation and skill flow among the research sample.

The study included the Iraqi volleyball elite players.

The researcher used the descriptive approach with thecorrelation method, which wasappropriate to the research sample and statistical methods to process the data and concluded the following : 1.

The elite players in the Iraqi volleyball league hada high orientation of competition.

2.

The elite players in the Iraqi volleyball league had a high level of skill flowing behavior.

3.

The reason behind the elite players’ orientation towards competition strongly was due to the skills flowing behavior they had.

The researcher recommended the following: 1.

It was necessary to pay attention to drafting the skills flowing behavior based on the types.

2.

Conduct a study of challenging the flowing behavior based on the type of sports event.

3.

It was necessary to develop the psychological qualities under study for volleyball players to take advantage in order to win.
