English Abstract
Watermarking Systems are one of the most important techniques used to protect digital content.
The main challenge facing most of these techniques is to hide and recover the message without losing much of information when a specific attack occurs.
This thesis proposes a method with a stable outcome under any type of attack.
The proposed method is basically a hybrid approach of three different transforms namely: Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Discrete Shearlet Transform (DST) and Arnold Transform.
We call this new hybrid method SWA (Shearlet, wavelet, and Arnold).
Initially, DWT was applied to cover image to get four sub-bands, we selected the HL (High-Low) subband of DWT, HL sub-band contains vertical features of the host image, where these features can maintain the embedded image more stable, in the next step, DST performed with HL sub-band.
Next, Arnold transform is applied to the message image.
Finally, the output that obtained from Arnold will be stored within Shearlet output.
The inverse DST re-executed where the output represented at HL subband with inverse DWT to get a watermarked image.
For extracting the embedded image, DWT was applied then DST performed with HL subband, then embedded image extracted from the specific matrix by Arnold, therefore it is necessary to apply the inverse Arnold to get a message image.
To evaluate the proposed method we used six performance evaluation measures namely: PSNR, MSE, RMSE, SNR, MAE, and SSIM.
In addition to applying seven different types of attacks on some test images.
The experimental results performed based on Lena image as a cover image and copyright image as a message., the proposed method achieved significant performance comparing to the state-of-the-art methods, as it achieved (PSNR = 58.0975), (SSIM = 0.9950), (MSE=0.1016), (RMSE=0.3187), (SNR=-0.0629) and (MAE=0.1016).
