Arabic Abstract

هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف إلى تقدير الذات و علاقته بمستوى التكيف الاجتماعي لدى لاعبي كرة اليد في الأردن، و التعرف على الفروق في مستوى تقدير الذات و مستوى التكيف الاجتماعي، لدى لاعبي كرة اليد في الأردن تبعا لمتغيرات (النوع الاجتماعي، مكان الإقامة، اسم النادي) استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي لمناسبته لطبيعة الدراسة و تكونت عينة الدراسة من (176) لاعبا و لاعبة يمثلون أندية الدرجة الأولى لكرة اليد في الأردن، و تم استخدام مقياس تقدير الذات (روزنبرج) وتطوير استبانة لقياس مستوى التكيف الاجتماعي، و استخدمت المتوسطات الحسابية، الانحرافات المعيارية، تحليل التباين المتعدد، معامل كرونباخ ألفا، اختبار شافية و معامل ارتباط بيرسون لمعالجة بيانات الدراسة.

أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن تقدير الذات لدى لاعبي كرة اليد في الأردن جاء بدرجة مرتفعة، و إن مستوى التكيف الاجتماعي لديهم جاء بدرجة مرتفعة ايضا، و كذلك أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في مستوى التكيف الاجتماعي تبعا لمتغيرات الدراسة و كذلك عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا لمستوى تقدير الذات على متغيرات النوع الاجتماعي و مكان الإقامة، بينما أظهرت وجود فروق في مستوى تقدير الذات على متغير النادي، و أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين تقدير الذات و مستوى التكيف الاجتماعي و في ضوء نتائج الدراسة توصي الباحثة بتصميم برامج إرشادية تساعد لاعبي الفرق الرياضية المهددة بالهبوط على تنمية تقدير الذات لديهم.

English Abstract

This study aimed at identifying Self-esteem and its relationship with the level of social adaptation among the handball players in Jordan as well as identifying the differences in the level of Self-esteem and the level of social adaptation among the handball players in Jordan according to the variables of (Gender, place of residence, the name of the club.

The researcher used the descriptive approach.

For its convenient to the nature of the study the study sample consisted of 176 male and female players that represent the first-class clubs of handball in Jordan.

The researcher used the scale of self-esteem (Rosenberg) and developed a questionnaire in order to measure the level of social adaptation.

The means, standard deviations, multivariate analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, Scheffe test and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to treated the data of the study.

The results showed that self-esteem and among the handball players in Jordan was of a high degree, and that the level of social adaptation among the handball players in Jordan was of a high degree.

The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences regarding the level of social adaptation according to the variables of the study, and that there is no statistically significant difference regarding the level of self-esteem according to gender and place of residence.

While the results showed that there is statistically significant difference regarding the level of self-esteem according to the variable of club.

The results also showed that there is a statistically significant correlation relationship between self-esteem and social adaptation.

In the light of the study results, the researcher recommends about designing guidance programs in order to assist the players of the teams that are threatened to fail the league in developing self-esteem among them.
