Abstract EN

In Safawi's period, Isfahan was one of the most important places in political, cultural and social situation.

This cultural signs are still present until now in architecture and architectural design in Isfahan city.

In that period of time, Isfahan houses included valuable Iranian culture.

While it was in apex of progression, variation, and growth, because of economical development in Safawi period.

Iranian homes in Isfahan had court yard.

In that period of time, appeared houses were surrounded with garden but these houses were special for rich governmental families.

The objectives of this paper is to study different kinds of Isfahan houses in Safawi period and built and open spaces of Safawi house types.

In addition, we study the way of living relevant to cultural, social and economical situation.
