Monochrome is considered as a clear feature in ancient drawings which are discovered in Syria, especially in prehistoric ages or in many periods It was replaced by other tools instead of colors to achieve aesthetic and artistic works such as graphics and drawing using the outlines or the silhouette to distinguish between forms and the background, In addition, artists describe the visual world through black and white, dark and light, especially in the Assyrian wall drawings because they depended on sculpture and relief in their artistic products.
