The purpose of the present study was to identify the problems facing the female teachers of the first three primary grades in light of the modified textbooks in Irbid according to their view points Governorate and whether such problems vary by experience and educational qualification.

The sample consisted of 200 teachers of the first three grade levels holding of the Master, BA and Intermediate Diploma degrees randomly selected of population (N=500).

The researchers developed and employed a 32-item questionnaire verified for validity and reliability that covered three areas: teacher training, classroom environment, and textbook content.

Means and standard deviations of self-perceived problems facing the first three grade teachers.

Having analyzed results, an effect was demonstrated for the problems facing the teachers.

Means and standard deviations were also computed to identify the effect of the academic qualification and experience on the problems.

Results showed no statistically significant differences at α=0.05 attributed to academic qualification and experience on teacher's problems.

In light of earlier results the researchers recommended more teacher participation in textbook change; providing teachers practical training related to textbook change; and offering classroom spaces suitable for the changes taken place.

Curricula development team should survey the problems facing the teaching process in field and take them into account in any suggested changes.
