Abstract EN

This paper investigates the relationship between Technology and the Arabic printing type problems.

This paper discusses the effect of technology on the Arabic printing type, although this paper discusses the effect of many technologies it focuses on conputer technology.

This paper indicates that Arabic printing type problems moved from one technology to another, in addition to problems of the conputer itself, which was originally designed to deal with the Latin alphabets.

The paper discusses the advantages of hot-metal typesetting on Arabic printing type and its disadvantages.

*The study explains the advantages and disadvantages of phototypesetting on the Arabic printing type.

*The study discusses the advantages and disadvantages of desktop publishing on the Arabic printing type.

This paper indicates the absence of the role of the Egyptian newspaper statues in developing the Arabic printing type.
