Cisplatin drug is one of platinum compounds and it is in common use world wide for the treatment of a variety of human neoplasms.

However in high doses it can produce undesirable toxic side effects on kidney, so in this study we investigated whether Thymoqunione has protective effect on neurototoxicity induced by cisplatin or not.

Use of this 16 adult females purpose of the rats the white has been divided equally into four groups (A: control group, B: the treatment group carcinogens azoxymethane(AOM) only, C: Group treated cisplatin and D: a group treated Thymoqunion) included each group including four rats were developed colon cancer and then injected with the substance Azoxymethane (AOM) once a week for both the three groups except the fourth group was considered as a group to control.

Was detected occurrence of the tumor by measuring the concentration of CEA serum was observed a significant increase (P <0.05) when injected carcinogens groups compared with the control group, and when the transaction textured thymoqunion and cisplatin drug observed low concentration of CEA response to treatment used and measured concentrations blood parameters and some special tests to kidney functions such as urea and uric acid, there were significant differences have been observed (P <0.05) between these groups and all the tests after ,the histological examination of the kidney of using light microscopy for all rats showed the presence of pathological changes in the kidney tissue in the treatment group with a drug cisplatin ,while Thymoqunione not appear any side effect on kidney tissue.
