Abstract EN

Field experiment was conducted at the fields of Agricultural College- University of Basrah, Karmatt-Ali campus to evaluate the effect of three design shapes of moldboard plow shares included (Conventional share, Dentate share, and Serried share),three levels of the plowing depths included 10 , 15 and 25 cm and three different forward speeds included 0.47 , 0.69 and 1.14 msec-1 according to design Random of Complete Block Design RCBD, Draft force, Specific energy, Equivalent energy, Mean-Weight Diameter(MWD), and Pulverization efficiency were measured in this study .

The results showed that the Serried and Dentate shares significantly surpassed on Conventional share in all pulverization energy parameters.

The different levels of depths and speeds had significant effects in all the performance parameter.

The interaction among (depths, forward speeds, and shares) were showed significantly surpassed of Serried and Dentate shares on Conventional share in all pulverization energy parameters .

The modifier shares (Serried and Dentate) led to decreased Draft force and increasing the specific energy, and the equivalent energy, however the modifier shares (Serried and Dentate) gave best Mean-Weight Diameter (MWD) and best Pulverization efficiency
