Abstract EN

The present study deals with the role of security and its significance in performing all sorts of religious rites and duties.

Security opens horizons in identifying religion and direct it in the scope of religious education that establishes this tendency in the depths of the individual and the profundity of the society.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), for instance, was referred to as “the honest truthful” by an illiteracy-dominated society.

And when this honest truthful was sent as messenger by Allah, he applied this honesty and truthfulness so comprehensively that enable him to win the faithfulness and loyalty of the believers.

This messenger (PBUH) says, “He ,who rises safe in his folk, sound in health, and with his day meal in possession, is like one who owns the whole world”.

This reveals the interrelationship between religion and security is a amazing way.

This research is in three chapters besides the introduction and the conclusion.

Chapter one covers the definition of security linguistically and technically, its types, and its notion in the Holy Quran.

Chapter two investigates the value of security and its role in people’s life in six sections: people’s necessity to security, security as an objective of jurisprudence, its value in ritual duties, its value in the validity of transactions and dealings, its impact on moral values, and the role of Islamic jurisprudence in maintaining security.

Chapter three touches upon security maintenance in the main objectives of religion in five sections that deal the fifth types of maintenance: religion, soul, breed, brain, and property
