Polyaniline (PANI) thin film was prepared by electrochemical polymerization method from (0.3M) aniline monomer and (0.1M)from Sulfuric acid in the presence of 150 ml distilled water.

The formation of PANI thin film was characterized by XRD, FTIR, AFM and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

The XRD pattern indicated that the diffraction peak at 2θ = (25.63˚) corresponding to (112) plane.

The FTIR spectroscopy spectra give distinct and the prominent bonds at 1554.52, 1452.30, 1145.64 and 775.33 cm-1.The band gap of the thin film has been calculated using UV visible spectroscopy and found to be 2.74eV.PANIthin film is sensitive for the Nitrogen oxidized gas (NO2) at different temperature RT, 100 and 200 oC.

The more sensitivity was found at 100oC.-
