Fe-Mn binary oxide with different Fe:Mn molar ratios was synthesized by a simultaneous oxidation and co-precipitation process.

The synthesized material was prepared at different molar ratio(1:0, 1:1, 3:1, 5:1, 7:1 of Fe-Mn).

X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) study indicated the formation of nanostructure magnetite with cubic phase consisting of crystalline structure in 1:0, 7:1 and poorly crystalline structure in 1:1, 3:1, 5:1.The morphology of obtained materials was tested by scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X Ray Spectrometry (EDS).The EDS spectra showed strong peaks of Fe and O for pure iron oxide magnetite and Fe ,Mn and O for Fe-Mn binary oxide.

It was found that Fe-Mn binary oxide can prepared with cubic structure at pure iron oxide and 7:1 molar ratio,While for nanostructure at 1:1, 3:1, 5:1 molar ratio by using oxidation and co-precipitation method.-
