Abstract EN

The study aimed at identify the degree of Perfectionism trend and the degree of academic Procrastination among gifted students at Baha area, also to investigate the statistical differences between them according to educational stage and the relation between them in AlBaha area.

The study sample consisted of (138) gifted students, (47) students in middle educational stage, (91) in high educational stage, which have been chosen randomly.

The study followed the descriptive method, the researcher developed academic Procrastination and perfectionism scale, which consisted of (15, 24) items respectively, and confirmed of psychometric validity and reliability for the two scales.

The results indicate a medium degree in the academic Procrastination and a high degree of Perfectionism trend, also, there was a significant difference in the degrees of Perfectionism trend according to educational stage for the benefit of high stage, and there is no significant differences in the degree of Academic Procrastination according to educational stage, also the results did not prove the existence of significant correlation relationship between the degree of perfectionism trend and academic Procrastination.

In light of the findings of the current study recommended to Work on developing programs to improve the level of positive perfectionism, and work to motivate students to get rid of academic Procrastination revealed by the study through providing the gifted students: planning, time management and organization skills.
