This paper discusses the escalation of the refugee crisis following the revolutions of the Arab Spring, which triggered a mass exodus of people fleeing the countries witnessing revolution, including Syria.

The paper illustrates how the refugee crisis has a humanitarian, as well as a political dimension with both internal and regional effects.

The analysis begins with a theoretical framework discussing refugee rights in international law, as well as the treaties and the organizations that are specialized in refugee issues.

The paper also discusses the flow of refugees the scope of the problem, and its effects on the host countries.

The author analyses the most important internal and external outcomes of the flow of refugees and the challenges that are faced by refugees in some Arab countries.

Finally, he provides recommendations on how to deal with the refugee crisis in the Arab world.
