This study examines the biography of one of the Mongolian court ladies, Doquz Khatun the wife of the Ilkhanate Hulagu khan, the founder of the Ilkhanate state (656-756).
The study concerned on her name, lineage, social status as well as her political role which can be seen in her interest in taking care of her Christian sect.
