To achieve the aim of this study the researchers adopted the quasi-experimental approach, as the study was applied on a sample of (50) tenth grade students divided into two groups, an experimental group consisted of (25) student studied through using service learning strategy and a control group consisted of (25) students studied through traditional method.

The findings showed that there are significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) between the means of the experimental group performance and the means of the control group performance in achievement and social responsibility in favor of the experimental group.

The study recommended the need of including service learning strategies in national and civil education books since it have an effect in improving the sense of social responsibility and achievement, as well as conducting training courses for national and civil studies teachers regarding carrying out service learning projects.
