This study discusses the Socio-criticism method and approach that derived from the Socio-curriculum- first developed by Pierre Zima and its objective to reach the interaction between the text and the historical and social problems- with special focus on language, linguistic structures and the search for social issues that exist in the language.

Zima tried to find answers for the following questions : how does language express the community issues ? And, how do we know these issues through language ? In order to answer these questions, procedural mechanisms have been proposed by Zima.

Thus, the application of this method / approach relies on the study of the linguistic and semantic levels, and the deep structure of the text is achieved through Grimas theory.

Through this study, Zima re-considered the social context and its importance in constructing the literary text.
