Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the body language and its signification in the Quran discourse by considering it as an important nonverbal communication type that is used to communicate ideas, feelings and reactions between the interlocutors according to the context of communication.

We have chosen two samples that are the eye and hand gestures to study them from a semiological perspective in order to answer two research questions: why were the eye and hand gestures the most commonly used ones in the Quran discourse? To what extent could the nonverbal gestural communication determine the meanings of the Quran discourse?.
